Types of Wood Finishes
Walnut Brown Oil Stain: Our own basic oil-base stain that gives wood a deep, rich tone. Used mostly on pine, but is available as a finish on other woods.
Sher-Wood Homoclad Sealer: A moisture resistant sealer which resists rot and discoloration. Penetrates deep into wood pores increasing dimensional stability. Used on redwood and oak.
Nelsonite: A wood stabilizer that guards against swelling, shrinking and warping. Nelsonite repels water and acts as a preservative. Used on braces and rafters of truss type shelters.
Polyurethane: A high-gloss, clear finish over wood, which highlights wood to a furniture finish. To be used indoors only.
Sikkens: Superior translucent finish based on special oil-alkyd resin combination and selected ultraviolet absorbing pigments. Gives a long lasting “Furniture Look” finish.
