Hand Carved Carousel Horses (& More) on Consignment
$6,000: The horses produced by Allan Herschell after World War I were made with a carving machine. Making the figures more durable and economical was a necessity fostered by close competition. In the process, the heads became oversized and the ears were carved in the laid-back position to reduce damage during transit and set-up. The top knot mane makes the figure very unique.
