After recognizing Ruth’s talent and her love for wood carving, Mr. Fox hired her as an apprentice carver and taught her the skill of designing, construction, carving and finishing. Hard work and dedication of several years has produced a talent comparable to the Old Masters.

Each Carousel animal she produces is designed, created and carved by her own hand in the same manner of the great carousel carvers like Muller and Loof of the late 19th century. The wood figures are original, unique and are one of a kind. Ruth’s style is a break from traditional reproductions which most of today’s carvers produce.
