Hand Carved Carousel Horses (& More) on Consignment

$2,500: The original C.W. Parker flying mane horse was carved in Leavenworth, Kansas, Circa 1917. The dramatic flying mane was designed to catch the eye of the potential riders, and make a ride a must. Some horses in this style are called “Lillie Belles”. The story goes that a carnival owner, Bell Aiken’s first name was Lily, and a special lead horse (the most prominent figure) was ordered for the Aiken carousel. The “Lillie Belle” was named for her. I (Craig Swanson) carved this horse in that style and put a little puppy on the cantle. This would have been the size of a second row horse. The stand celebrates the old rounding boards on the carousel. Contact Craig Swanson 816-833-3573
