Hand Carved Carousel Horses (& More) on Consignment
$3,200: A half-and-half horse has a wooden body with metal head, legs, and tail. I (Craig Swanson) restored this horse in the spring of 1994. The horse was produced at north Tonawanda New York. By the late 1920’s keen competition was bringing hand carved wooden carousels to extinction. During this final stage the carousel makers, including Allan Herschell, began fastening aluminum heads and legs to the wooden bodies. Contact Craig Swanson 816-833-3573
