Hand Carved Carousel Horses (& More) on Consignment
$4,500: Touches of Americana were used to decorate the carousels leaving the C.W. Parker factory in Leavenworth, Kansas, and the flag was always a popular theme. Nearly every carousel that Parker produced had at least one horse carrying Old Glory. The Parker original of this reproduction single flag stargazer was produced in 1916. I (Craig Swanson) carved this spectacular example of a Parker stargazer after restoring the original figure. The horse has intricately detailed trappings and features 14 jewels, an American flag on the show side. On the cantle, I carved an American flag roll. The shoes carry the name C.W.
